First units in Austrian-based 2014 Husqvarna production line complete

Husqvarna has officially rolled its first 2014 models off the production line in Mattighofen, Austria, now under the ownership of KTM.

Husqvarna has officially rolled its first 2014 models off the production line in Mattighofen, Austria, now under the ownership of KTM .

On 7 October 2013, the first production day, approximately 75 units of the new four-stroke model range (250cc–450cc) were assembled.

In the future, up to 15,000 Husqvarna Motorcycles will be manufactured in upper Austria every year.

“By the acquisition of the brand Husqvarna, the KTM Group expects an additional growth of approximately 15,000 motorcycles in the next few years,” KTM CEO Stefan Pierer.

It’s also been confirmed that the recently accomplished acquisition of Husqvarna by the KTM Group will bring a further upgrade to the production site.
