Technical Information

The Tag Metals T2 handlebar features a tapered outer wall that transitions from a 1 1/8” diameter to a 7/8” diameter for use with standard size grips and controls. The ‘bar is cold forged from aircraft-quality 7049 T6 aluminum for greater strength.

The Tag Metals T2 handlebar is also shot peened and anodized for increased durability. A knurled grip and clamp area is also featured to resist slippage. Each Tag Metals T2 handlebar comes complete with a vinyl-covered bar pad and plugged ‘bar ends from the factory.

Positives

My only request was a low handlebar with a generous amount of sweep, and the guys at C&R Imports definitely provided us with that. Taking delivery of the Tag Metals T2 ‘CR Low’ handlebar I instantly knew I would be a fan of this product.

No matter what bike I’m riding, I will always be asking for a lower bend of ‘bar, it’s just something I prefer. So in my case the T2 ‘CR Low’ bend is perfect for me. It also has a good amount of sweep, nothing too crazy, but it’s definitely a comfortable amount.

Being black anodized they obviously look great. I’m also a huge fan of the crisp white branding on the ‘bars. Another great feature on the T2 handlebar is the pre-plugged ‘bar ends – pure convenience.

I didn’t have to go searching for ‘bar ends, I just pulled the product out of the box and installed them along with my Tag Slim Grips (click here for our review on those grips). Thanks to Tag’s forward thinking I was back in action in no time.

As I mentioned, the ‘CR Low’ bend is perfect for me. Cornering the bike was much easier for me as I felt like I could get up and on top of the bike more. This is something that provides me with more front-end feel and a huge boost in confidence. As we all know, more confidence equals more speed!
