Rewind: Milner's maiden A4DE win

MotoOnline.com.au takes a look back at Daniel Milner's maiden A4DE win in 2012.

The 2013 Harvey Fresh Australian Four-Day Enduro (A4DE) kicked off yesterday at Parc Ferme for the first day of racing with Australia’s top Enduro riders battling it out over a range of technical stages.

Defending A4DE Outright champion Daniel Milner, our subject for this edition of Rewind, finished up the day with a second overall placing aboard his CDR Yamaha Off-Road YZ250F while Husqvarna young gun Matt Phillips took the win.

Much the same as Phillips in 2013, Milner kicked off his 2012 A4DE campaign with a first place Outright placing on day one of competition, setting himself up for a strong shot at the title.

Part of the Ballard’s Yamaha Off-Road team last year, Milner put together impressive performances across the four days in testing muddy conditions in front of his hometown fans in Warragul, Victoria.

Milner’s strong form carried him to victory in the E1 class and the Outright victory. He finished the event with a winning margin of 1 minute 41 seconds over his closest Outright competitor Toby Price who remains sidelined with injury for this year’s event.

After earning his first-ever A4DE Outright win, Milner carries the number one plate through the event this season and you can bet your bottom dollar that he has his eyes set on making it two Outright titles beside his name.
