GIECO Honda’s Kevin Windham is the latest top line contender to be confirmed for the second annual Monster Energy Cup at Las Vegas Sam Boyd Stadium on 20 October.

During the 2012 Monster Energy Supercross Championship Windham, 34, was fifth in point standings before suffering an injury at Houston that ended his season.

“The energy in Vegas is always really top notch, and it’s a good opportunity for us,” said Windham. “I was glad to be a part of the inaugural race, and I look for this thing to grow a lot.

“I think they’re on to something that’s really good there with something that is hybrid that fans of our sport can’t see except for at the Monster Energy Cup.”

Windham has been racing professionally for 19 years, is a Western Regional Supercross Lites Class Champion and has finished runner-up in the Supercross Class three times.

The winner of 18 Supercross Class main events, Windham has amassed 203 starts and 75 podium finishes.
