The first-ever Mad Skills Motocross (iOS) Tournament is officially underway, commencing last weekend.

The highly anticipated social-gaming event is a 14-week competition where a free track is available to players for exactly one week, starting each Saturday afternoon (Sunday in Australia).

Players have seven days to beat three different computer competitors and earn bronze, silver, and gold medals for that week’s track. Once all medals have been won on a given track, players can compete against real-world players’ times and move up the leaderboards.

Any player who earns at least eight gold medals throughout the 13-week tournament gains entry to an exclusive championship round, where they can compete for bigger prizes and the ultimate bragging rights.

To play in the tournament, which is free for anyone with the full iOS game, players simply need to get the latest update of the game (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mad-skills-motocross/id410229362?mt=8) and hit the ‘Tournament’ button on the main menu.

Once registered, players will have access to the first round, which features an all-new track and three progressively more difficult opponents.

For full details on how to play, check out the Mad Skills Motocross Tournament rules on the web at www.madskillsmx.com/tournament.

You can also simply hit the Tournament button on the main menu of the game, and you’ll be presented with the official rules and regulations.

If you’re competing in the tournament, be sure to sign up for the Mad Skills newsletter at www.madskillsmx.com/signup and you’ll be reminded every Saturday when a new free track is released.
