I don't understand you guys in saying that moss should do well maybe get third. Get real!!!. just because he won a few races down at old parramatta doesnt mean he can do the same here. He's racing against the fastest supercross riders in the world . Stop it geeez

Give him time yankwanker and then you can make the big apology at the end of the Supercross Season.
Gonna give this tipping a shake.

I think he (and Jake) definitely have what it takes to be on the level of guys like Metty and Byrner (when he was in better form without injuries). It's a big task for anyone to be the 'next' Reedy, no matter where they are from. Anyhow, time will tell and good on JDR for developing Aussie talent then giving them the chance on the world stage.

i think he should be able to get in there..... i would at least think top 5..
i think a lot of riders got jacked from that long gate hold in the final, i think there will be plenty of other riders up the front in the next two rounds that didnt really show it at A1

Lets put this in perspective. Moss raced the Aussie lites class with only a couple of riders really contesting for a win. The intensity and depth is very low. You can gauge this by the 2nd half of the class riding ability(they are not even doing the rhythm sections), quality of bikes(can you really compare a Aussie privateer bike to a American privateer bike) and the quality of race tracks. Moss only real issue was dealing with his own demons and brain fade.
American lites class is stacked and its split into 2 coasts, no way we could do that in Australia. The race day/night program is different to Australian race day/night schedule. There tracks are alot more intense. The American machinery is first class through the whole field( Eg-Non qualifying riders machinery have showa A-kit suspension).
If Moss can finish top ten in supercross and outdoor, that will be a big stepping stone into next year as well show are more realistic gauge to his racing potential at that level. Just ask PJ how much faster the racing is in America, he won the Aussie outdoor and the super x lites class championship and he had to ride over his head to even keep up with the top 10 and that led to him crashing out of both America championships. Now moss has gone to America, why should he do any better than PJ? Moss is a great rider compared to the hoons that ride in the park down the road but seriously, you can’t compare moss’s race results in Australia to the challenge he has racing in America.
Moss needs to and I hope he can find a few more seconds in speed per lap and race craft which realisticly he needs to do to make the top 3, where i think you guys are confussing his potencial you seen in Australia from him to automaticly be top 3 in America.

This is exactly what happens with all the Aussies that go to USA they all improve those few seconds.

Lets put this into a bit better perspective. Moss is Australia's best Lites rider at the moment. Yes the Australian MX/SX field is now where near as deep as the US field. These are facts every one here can agree on.
Now while the best riders in the deepest field where testing their 2012 bikes & gelling with their 2012 teams. Tweaking their programs before Xmas. Moss was winning an Australian sx title that ended at in the 2nd half of November. He then had to move oversea's and start from scratch. Ask any US rider that went to race the GP's how moving your whole life and resetting your program. Look at Jimmy Albertson's GP season or Micheal Lieb. Yes there is more infrastructure in the US. But we are supporting our best Lites Guy and we believe in him. So sue us! 1 race isn't a season we'll see in 6 weeks where this is.

Moss, you are supposed to be Aussie champ, and thats the way you want to ride. Aussie champ, more like Aussie chump. No way you are going to come top 3 with that riding style. Moss will be lucky to make a main.

It certainly wasn't Matt's best move. Hopefully he can learn by this mistake. I believe he had the speed to beat Ryan to the line. Unfortunately both were taken out. Hopefully he can make the main this weekend
