How will he go in 2012 with Carlton Dry Honda?. The deal was confirmed yesterday at Ipswich for both MX and SX in Australia. Cool news!

Townley should go real well, i know he mentioned something about developement of the bike, but didnt want to mention in which direction they were going with, i imagine he was talking about parts etc. i wonder if that means a heavy input from PC or Factory Honda (proper factory honda - now that would be cool, but i cant imagine that would be the case - they seem to be handing the things out for next year in America so i guess we wont find out for a while)

Really exciting for Carlton Dry Honda, and more so for Australian Motocross... really looking forward to watching him ride!

I wonder if Coops will start riding really well again, now that he has Ben to ride and train with again - Coops killed it when they were living together in the states!

Excellent new for Australian MX. Hopefully Ben can get a roll on and find his former form. Any word on what Cody Cooper is doing next year. Waters has signed at Suzuki.

Really looking forward to watching BT race down here. Last time I saw him race was Xmas 2004. His corner speed was crazy.

Man the Nationals will be ultra competitive next year (again).

Word is that Honda is switch tyres to Pirelli and suspension to Pro Circuit next year. Nothing official though, just what I'm hearing around the pits.

This is such a good thing for Australian Motocross. Not only do we get a rider of Townleys' calibre to race alongside Coppins, Marmont, Anderson, Simmonds, Waters and Mackenzie (and more), but I think it will bring alot more exposure to our series. From the US and also Europe. Our depth of talent is looking great and that is going to make for some awesome racing.

The switch to Pirelli for Honda will be interesting, I am biased so I wont comment to far on that subject. All I can say is I have my fingers crossed that the black cloud that keeps following Townley around has stayed in Europe and will not follow him back here.

If he's healthy, uninjured and race fit I think he will be near untouchable outdoors. I just hope he can stay injury free.

I hope Honda switch to Pirelli (or Dunlop - don't hate me O'Rourke, I've got Pirelli's on my YZ). I don't know what it is but everybody seems to struggle on those Michelin's. I have no beef with Michelin. Time will tell I guess. Maybe it will require a tyre and set-up change like sombody else mentioned.

But as mentioned, if BT's healthy and regains his old pace, he will be near unstoppable outdoors!

I am sure if he likes the bike that he will be the man to beat, think ive seen all his opposition at there best and last season i watched our guys form. Ben Townley is a very impressive rider, very impressive. Jake Moss has finished 2nd in 450 ama races and so has Cody Cooper, noone else in this field has come close to that and Townley looks so good on a bike and is a world champion i dont think he will get touched if he likes the bike. If he is fit and doesnt win i will never by a Honda, lol.
