One round to go, three riders separated by less than 10 points - Marmont, Simmonds, McCoy.

Plus Bopping is sitting there 15 points back to pick up the pieces.

Who will be champ and why???

JM2 will be. I mean no disrespect to the other riders, but Jays only opposition is himself. When the track is wet, he will struggle, when he lays the bike down he will struggle, if he gets caught in the first corner he will struggle. But in any straight up dry race it is fairly clear he will give the rest a lesson. He can be leading by a full rhythm section two laps in so for that reason and because I have huge respect for him and his family, He has it nailed.

Tye Symonds did not deserve his ride in the states, but good on him for sticking it out even with his average results. He did well in the wet, but does not have the balls out speed of Jay. I really dont think he will get a look in for the US again, as he had great equipment and a supportive team and really only finished well indoors when the rest of the field crashed out. I think in the outdoors he will be stronger but not in SX.

Dan McCoy has put in the hard work, and has really shown his true skills this year. He has been waiting in the wings for 10 years and has finally stepped up. In saying that i think that he was lucky to come away with the red plate last week, and i just cant see him even getting close to a unobstructed Jay.

One last thing, Dan Reardon has deadset disappointed me this year. He has the bike, speed and experience, but cant seem to add it together to put a podium in his resume. You have to feel for the bloke because he can lay down smoking laps in qualifying, but cop the raw end of the stick come race time.

Cheers,

Looks

I'm with Looks on this. JM2 should get it. Fast and consistent. No disrespect to the other guys who have all shown up to give him a run for his money.

But I thought Coppins would win the MX for same reasons!

Yeh I think Jay will win it, but in saying that it is a traditional 20 lapper at Ipswitch so one first corner crash or mechanical and it could be anyones!!! JM2 has been clearly the fastest out there so he deserves to win it I reckon.

It's really JM2's to loose. He has put together the big results he needed to come back from his 1st round disaster.
He has shown at the last 2 dry rounds he is the benchmark for speed & consistency.

Tye I feel maybe has come in a little under prepared with the bike change to the 450. With his USA season I feel he went a little to soon in his career & on an under powered bike. I do feel if he had a 450 his results would have been slightly better even if it was due to nothing but better starts. But he has time in his career to make it work.

DMC has been improving all year & has been very consistent through his MX season made a smooth transition back to the 450 for SX. But I just don't think he has the raw speed that Jay has shown in the 2nd half of this season.

But having said that one mistake & any of these guys can take it out.

One thing on the 122 I know he said at the start of the year how his KTM was great and people need to forget about the things they think are different & difficult to adjust too. In a way his season shows that he didn't adjust to the obvious differences the bikes have to the others he had been riding. Nothing against the guy I really like his riding style but it seems he can't find that spark on connection with the KTM he had with the Kawasaki or Honda.

Marmont is like Reedy, if there is a mathematical chance that he can win the title, you would have to be mad to bet against him. In saying that, Supercross can be a cruel mistress and like Doova stated it can only take a first corner crash or a mechanical to turn what looks like the taste of champagne into sour grapes real fast.
