Good to see Ashcan get up for that first final. The old dog has got some new tricks.
he certainly gave it to people in his interview after the race.
Didnt see what happened in the other races, think he had some bad luck in the first turn maybe?
hopefully grab an interview with him at the last race for race reflections!

DOOVA pretty much covered it.
It was a top speech!!! And in true Ashcan form he didn't pull any punches. I think he was the happiest guy I have heard talk to Gaz after a race that didnt win.
He rode a great moto, I was really hoping he would hang on to 2nd but Mossy was to strong.
He said in his interview he put everything he had into it so don't expect to see him up front in the next 2.

i didnt see Ashcan there this week!? was going to track him down for an interview, but couldnt find him.
hopefully he will be back for some of the Motocross.

Got to meet Ashcan for the first time in Brisbane last year. He's a good freind of a good freind. Anyway, our good freind turns up at the airport to pick us up and he has Ashcan in the car with him.
My mate and I were like 2 kids in a candy store, having been Ashcan fans since the Gus Liu days. Anyway we grilled Ashcan for the next 30-40 minutes and he was a dead set top bloke. Pulled no punches and was like an open book. Answered everything we threw at him...even the question about soap in prison...
Seriously though he was such a cool cat. As down to earth as you could find in a bloke. If you ever get the chance to say g'day to Ashcan, DO IT. He will blow you away with how humble and cool he is at the same time.
There will only ever be one Ashcan
PS: I unfortunately missed his speech. Anyone find it yet?
