When Serco agreed to supply MotoOnline.com.au with a fresh new set of Answer apparel, coupled with a sweet lid from SixSixOne, their offer of completing the gear set with SPP Custom Decals meant that we’d be testing in our most personalised product yet.

SPP Custom Moto Decals is a division of Serco that is designed and manufactured right here in Australia at Serco’s base in Queensland. SPP decals use high quality materials that are designed for their function, meaning that Serco is well proud of their product available on local shores.

After witnessing the Serco Yoshimura Yamaha team’s gear complete with SPP Custom Decals during the MX Nationals this year and previously, I essentially left it up to the guys at Serco to decide what style to apply on my custom gear.

Upon arrival, which was just days later and right on time as promised for the 2012 Kawasaki KX450F launch, I was immediately pumped with what I saw when opening the package.

My James Stewart Collection Answer jersey not only had Gobert spread across the shoulders at the rear, plus my favoured number of 23, it also featured MotoOnline.com.au logos as requested on both the front and rear in purposeful sizes.

I knew that the logos were coming on the jersey as a simple email featuring my logo had that confirmed, but the SPP Helmet Decal Kit on the SixSixOne Fenix Shards helmet was a nice surprise. MotoOnline.com.au stickers were featured on the peak and both sides in contrasting sizes, plus my name was applied across the rear below the goggle strap.

The SPP Helmet Decal Kit adds to your lid's design and stick exceptionally well.

The coolest thing though, which I had noticed on the likes of Kirk Gibbs, Jake Moss and Ford Dale during the season, was the application of sizable number 23s on each side of the helmet – who needs paint!

As far as wearing the product goes, the transfers are thin enough not to restrict the comfort of the jersey, but are thick enough to look the part with a sleek gloss finish. While the jersey has only been worn and washed a few times, I cannot see the quality degrading at all in these early stages and highly doubt that it will.

Colour wise, when it comes to the yellow featured on the MotoOnline.com.com logo, it’s spot on. The colours of the jersey are slightly visible through the transfers, but unless you are inspecting them really closely it’s unnoticeable.

The styling of the jersey transfers look great and have a few options, plus they're ultra glossy.

With the helmet kit, it most certainly boosted the appearance of my helmet’s black/white colour scheme. The guys matched the number highlights to my logo with shades of yellow, which adds to the look big time.

The only think you need to make sure of is that you don’t place the decals on the overly sharp angles of the helmet, as chances are they’ll come unstuck and you’ll eventually get dirt beneath them. This is because the decals are thick and very high quality, and once they are stuck on smooth surfaces then they’re going to last a long time.

Not only do they look cool, their great for marketing and your sponsors will appreciate the additional advertising space on your gear. Contact sales@serco.com.au for further information, or call them at 07 3362 6610.
