I agree with the get rid of NZ part, and with what seems to be the concensus of having some more traditional longer races.
The short ones are like watching 2hrs of qualifying!
Live TV should bring ouside industry sponsors knocking if they play their cards right to.....

I agree about not going to NZ aswell, at $3200 per bike just for freight is a joke (not including rider entry, Airfares, Acc, food and spending money), no wonder hardly anyone went over there. Imagine if there was a fast privateer (Ferris for example) that was in the running for the championship, having to spend that sort of coin just to stay in contention for the championship. I would concentrate on getting good crowds here first because unfortunatly they haven't been very good so far, the weather hasn't helped this year either.

I also agree with Ando about the short format races being a good thing except for the survival one, the first 3 races of the format are pointless if your in a qual position and doesn't encourage bar to bar racing, theres no reward, imagine winning the first 3 races then having a mech DNF in the last one and only getting 16 points, it just doesn't add up in my book. Im not a fan at all of 20 lappers either, BORING!!

NZ is difinatley a waste of money at this stage in SuperX IMO. The cost is huge for the teams to travel over there and from what i saw on speedweek the crowds where pretty poor.
Even Tasmania is a tough call with the cost of transport. Unless there is some kind of points table transport fund. ( in the gp's they used to have youthstream would freight the bikes of the top 30 to the fly away rounds.)
Credit to GAS for trying new formats and looking for a new direction. The format is very similar to the old MR Motocross format with 4 15minutes it is an excitting format and its ezier to follow for the not so SX inclinded. I myself like the longer formats and definatley think there needs to b some 15-20 lap finals in the series just like there was in previous years. A balanced mix of short & long formats is what I reckon they need to work on. Aswell as concertrating on races on Aussie soil. We didnt even have a race in Victoria this year the so called sport capital of Australia. What happened there each of the east coast states should hold 2 rounds each 1 in canberra. (As the largest population in the country it makes sense) If these are well catered for 2013 could see a Tas or SA round.

Don't forget WA, must be cheaper than going to NZ and we usually pull a good crowd.

Bring back the traditional formats, where a rider has to show his fitness as well as his skill. Its great to see a few americans come over, its great for our sport. I must agree with craig anderson that if thery come for a selected event let them ride for prizemoney but not points, only riders riding the whole series should be allowed to accumliate points. I agree with john WA must be a better ulternative than NZ, anything that makes this great sport stronger ant be a bad thing but going o/seas at this stage isnt.

20 lappers are only boring because our guys can't run the pace of the yanks......but if we want to compete with the big names we have to play their game.....

Excatley bring back the 15 & 20 lap mains & give our guys the chance to improve there is nothing like watching riders battle the each other through speed & stamina

the current gate figures speak for them self the show as it is is not what its proported to be and people will see it the first year and not be impressed and not come back then its a down ward spiral to extinction.

when the show is advertised as full us tracks running lap times at 59s for the fastest guys with an ave of more than 60s and we get 30s lap times either we are twice as fast or the tracks are half the size.

the formats are fun to watch at first then the novelty wares off go bck to a split between 20 lap and novelty races

The tv has been non existant with the move to speed this year and speed not being on austar our family has gone from all sitting as a family to watch super x to not watching anything our business has been a minor sponsor but our rider comitment was bassed on regional tv which was canned after round 2 while we continued our comitment out of good faith there was no posability of any return to us via tv exposure however fleeting. we have already pulled our comitment to riders in aust championships as when we signed up there was exposure on austar but with the move to speed now there is no telicast hence no market exposure, we havent moved out of mx but of there is no possability of tv exposure then i may as well put it into my 9yo an just write it off, santa delivered a nice 2011 ktm 65 sx

In my opinion 20 lappers are boring as bat s@#t, and Im a die hard supercross fan, I think we do need a set format though, 2 x 12 lappers for Opens and 2 x 10 lappers for Lites without all this running to the gate and fighting over gate picks. Run the first Lites main, then the Open class, then the Lites and then the Opens last so the riders get a breather between races and get back to near 100% so they can give it everything they have in the next moto

Just because they race 20 lappers in the AMA everyone thinks that we should just be the sheep and follow, 95% of the time the positions are set after 10 laps anyway
