So Chad is saying he's out of Super X and going back to the U.S. to try and clinch a deal for AMA 2011... meanwhile, Global Action Sports is adamant that he'll be at the proceeding rounds.

Anyway, what did you guys think of his ride at Newcastle on the Honda? Seemed pretty damn good to me and the TeamVodafone bike looked mad.

Here's a full Post Race interview we did after he won on Saturday night: http://www.motoonline.com.au/2010/10/18/post-race-with-chad-reed/

I always thought that racing the Aussie Super X got him in good form coming into the US season and any prospective new sponsor would like to see him hit the ground running in Anaheim.

And he did look a lot more at home on the Honda compared to the Kawie last year.

He looked very comfortable on the Honda, like the Suzuki Reed. Maybe his health isnt where it needs to be to complete the series and be ready for A1 plus I am sure after him saying he knows what he wants from "a program" that he would have to inspect all aspects of any proposed ride. Hope he can get what he is looking for and be a race winner & tittle contenter in 2011 (on a honda)

He rode like a true champion, And yes his honda did look the part. I hope he gets a grip on his health and secures the ride that gives him the best possible chance of another world (ama) title.
Reedy showed everyone around the world that he still has the desire to win, he would be a great asset to any big team.

I think it's wrong that GAS are still using Reeds name to sell tickets when he isn't racing...

With there being no room for Townley on TLD Honda next year, maybe Reedy might be there next year, it seems to make sence with the Honda/Pro Circuit connection, what do you guys think??

That's a very interesting observation there DOOVA. It does sound very plausible, and really does fit with him riding a Honda with pc kit. But what about their red bull sponsor ship vs reed's monster sponsorship?

He said before Newcastle that his Monster contract had expired and he only run the Monster stickers on his helmet for Newy was for a "Thankyou".

They seem to have good bikes and it looks like a team Chad would be happy at, the only question mark would be where they would get the $$$$ for Reedy???

Really I missed that. The bikes where good BT101 always said how good his bike was during the year. Hmmm it really sounds good I wonder if he is pushing for some factory involvement or and outside sponsor. Would they have the infrastructure to give Chad the support he is used too.

BT's bike was as good as the factory Red Bull bikes, so you would assume that Chad would be comfortable with the Honda package. Overall though, the factory Suzukis have been the goods the last few years and the other brands may not compare favourably when you have been on the Suzukis.

Reedy said he felt just as good on the Honda as he did on the Suzuki, but it's always different racing Stewart and them guys compared to a low pressure situation at home against Hansen and that (not taking anything away from Hanny, he's just not Bubba or Dungey yet).

I hope he ends up somewhere and gives it a good shot. Honda factory team has Grant and Canard, but they have ran three bikes in the past haven't they? Maybe CR could do SX only. Otherwise TLD or H&H would be a good fit, but I doubt his equipment would be quite as good as full factory.

It looks like Reedys ride will be out the backdoor of the factory if he gets anything, most of the main factory rides have already been taken except the rides he doesn't want/burnt the bridge, I still think it will be a Satalite Honda / Backdoor of Factory Honda

Similar to Windham in 2003 on his CRF450 thru factory connection?? What kind of sponsors/team would he be attached to DOOVA?

Its very strange that he hasnt locked something in and is riding a different bike again. Looks like that tweet the other day was the real deal.

Valli motorsports?? Really that is a massive turn in events. I listen to The Steve Mathes podcast the other day with Micheal Bynre and although he didnt say anything bad about the team. He said he felt the Yamaha teams where a little lost on set up all year and they didnt budget to make the major changes that some of the riders felt they need from the bike. And there was little no input or communication between Yamaha & Yamaha teams.

Yeah I don't really know, all as I know is that it was a Valli bike that he was testing according to sources who should know what he was on lol. Either way, let's just hope that he finds a bike he is comfortable on and can come out swinging for A1. The clock is ticking!

I just wish they would cut through the BS and say "Let’s do it" or "Let’s not" and kind of make a decision on which direction to go from here. But there’s a goal, and there’s a feeling that I’m chasing, and I know where that is. I’m not going to put it out there or say it, but I think we can pull it off. I’ve got full confidence in WMG and my agent Steve Astephan and his people. I think we can make this thing work. Even on a level of not having any contracts, and getting free gear from a company like Fox has been really cool

Just read this from an interveiw with Chad
