Introducing the Australian FMX Pro Open!
Hi my name is Joel Balchin, I am a FMX rider and have ridden with the Crusty Demons touring Australia and the world for the past 5 years. During my time as a professional rider it has been clear that there have been a limited number of contests in Australia for guys like myself to compete in making it hard to set goals or have something to strive for.
Now as I near the end of my competitive career I have made it my mission to try to change that by organising an all Australian FMX contest to give the pro riders an annual title as well as supply the up and coming riders of Australia something to really work towards.
By creating an event such as the Australian FMX Pro Open we plan to crown an Australian Champion and help discover the next Robbie Madison or Blake Bilko Williams as well as continue to grow Australia’s involvement on the world stages in events such as X fighters and X games.
The Australian FMX Pro Open in its inaugural year promises to showcase Australia’s best FMX riders as they battle it for a total prize pool of $26,000 with first place taking home $10,000 while also being crowned the king of Australian FMX.
If you’re into dirt bikes on any level whether it is trail riding or motocross and think you will enjoy watching Australia’s biggest FMX riders battle it out on a full size dirt course check out the Australian FMX Pro open.
This will be a great family event so bring the kids and come down and check out the best riders battle it out in Best trick, Best whip and FMX

Top work Joel, can't wait to get down WSID and check it out. Hopefully its a change in the right direction. In my opinion competition brings out the best in riders and we know how potential sponsors love backing a winner!!!!
