So what do you think guys? Jay says he wants a shot at the Des Nations here: http://www.motoonline.com.au/2010/07/26/post-race-with-jay-marmont/
I think he deserves it after winning three straight MX Nationals titles and with a solid team behind him. Plus, you can't forget that Dacka has many resources in the U.S.
If Reedy's deffinitely out with Epstein Barr, it'd be a shame not to see Jay given the opportunity to represent his country in my opinion.

Id love to see Jay represent Aus but I dont think he will get the chancce, I can see Metcalfe and Reardon spear heading the 450 class with byrne as a reserve and then no idea who will race in the 250's.

Yeah i belive jay deserves it and has worked hard for many years , i also beliveve if it was ever Jays time to shine it would be now as i belive he is really at a peak in his career. 3 obivous other choices Ferris,Reardon or Metty.

We all know some times its about who can get the best if any equipment to the race. A couple of years Byrner has not been able to represent Australia at the des nations bcoz of being between contracts. I think a guy of Jay's caliber should definatley be considered.

Problem is, Pala is only a few weeks before the MXoN so you would think Team AUS would be all signed and sealed by that point! I have a feeling it will be Metty, Jay and Matt Moss as long as he is fit and healthy enough. All as I hope is that Australia finally has some luck go their way this year at the event!!

Metty (250), Jay and Chad (if he's healthy) on 450's. Replacement/reserve riders Reardon, Ferris or Moss.
I know Metty has been on a 450 outdoors this year and is kicking ass but you really need a top-level 250F to be competitive and Metty is probably the only person I can think of with access to a factory level bike and recent seat time on a 250F.
Or possibly Moss on a 250 if Roger will loan him a works bike......

Metty is to old to ride a 250, FIM have a under 23 ruling on that now. Symmonds would have to be the pick for a 250F guy or kirk gibbs

He won't be at Southwick this weekend mate. Pretty sure he'll be at Pala though and should be riding there!

will be interesting to see how he goes - especially with the extreme heat over there right now. If he get's some decent equip and starts I'm saying top 10, maybe even a top 5 on the hardpack.

Okay, have it confirmed Jay and Dacka have decided to sit out Pala and focus on MXoN now that he'll be in the team. Bit of a shame, but he seems really focussed on doing well for Team Australia. I think they could surprise this year if all three keep it consistent.

Spewing he isn't riding at pala it would have been good to the Aussie number 1 plate holder mix it up with Billy Mac in the AMA nationals. Come on aussie's at the MXoN
