Just wondering what everyones thoughts are on our Aussies in the US. If the Moss boys and Dan Reardon have average seasons in the US do you think they will be racing in Aus next season with the likes of Canard, Weimer Metcalfe and maybe Pourcell moving into the premier class. Is there going to be enough places for our guys?

Yeh good question, I think both the Moss boys and Reardon really need to show some promise before the US outdoor season ends, otherwise theres only really Des Nations (which theres no guarentee they will be on the team) or the US Open for them to impress on a world stage.

It's going to get very hard for the Aussies to stay in the main teams as the young Americans come through the Pro Lites ranks. I think Reedy and Metty are the only safe ones at the moment, but I'm sure the Moss bros have what it takes if they weren't coming off of injuries. Burner has had a great career and it's tough to see him struggle this year after doing so well last year, while Reardon has had a mixed season as he's swapped teams etc mid-year. It will be interesting to see where they all fit in back here if they were to return, cos that's a lot of seats to be filled if they were to be looking for both MX and SX deals for 2011! FIngers crossed they can do work in the second part of the AMA season...

I think Matt Moss needs to step back to the lites class. He definately is a capable rider but he would do so much better in the lites class. I also think Jake should be in lites, but he rides different to matt and rides the 450 well. There old man is going to the states this week so wouldnt suprise me if both boys are back on track in the next few weeks. Reardons results are picking up and I think he will still secure a ride over there. Maybe not a factory team but definately a satelight team like moto concepts or valli will have him. I can always put him on my develpment team online ;)

How was your time over there mate?? Would have been pretty sweet since you were there for ages! If only Matt didn't get injured at the Super X finale hey... hopefully he gets another go next year. He must be under some big pressure on the factory team in the 450 class alongside the Dunge.

I definatley think there is huge depth in the US mx & sx scene due to their amature program being so tough. When was the last time in Australia a 16 y.o rookie like Eli Tomac, Blake Bagget or Dean Wilson came out & won a Pro race. If Reardon's results keep going forward like they have I agree with coxymc he should hold on to his ride. I think for Byrne it must be disappointing to not get the results he had last year. And to break his hand will b tough on him ride wise. Matt was running up front at budds creek until a crash. I hope Greg can get over there and get some focus back in the preparation and the results will follow. We all hear the top guys talk about their support networks and the people they have around them.

Lets hope all our guys can stay in the US. All the guys will need a special 2nd half of the year to cement their spots. Hey Alex, when does the silly season usually start so that we can all start getting some answers to our questions?
