RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS (please read carefully):

* This tournament is currently limited to Playstation 3 players.

* Entrants must be members on MotoOnline.com.au.

* The entry limit will be 16 riders at this stage as we develop the tournament.

* Entries close at midday on race day with no exceptions.

* Upon entering, state your username on our forum and also add each of our participants as friends on the Playstation Network for invitations to the games.

* Nominated hosts will host the games and invite riders approximately 5-10 minutes before the scheduled start time. The race will start at the exact listed start time (as long as the PS Network is functioning correctly), so if you're not online then you forfeit the round.

* All riders must quit the private session following your heat race and remain patient while waiting for the main events before we invite you to the main that you qualified for.

* Should anybody have trouble entering the private room after more than three invites then the event will go ahead without you for the round.

* Note that if any of us lose our internet connection and are kicked out of the room during the final then we will be scored with last place points for the round.

* If the host is kicked out during the session if it is the main event then continue and inform us of the final results afterwards.

* Should a dedicated round host not be featured in either the A-Main or B-Main, we will organise one of the participants in that particular final to host the race. Hosts will work this out between us and then all participants will receive the invite to their particular final from an entrant within the round.

* If you are not invited to your main event due to not being on our selected hosts friends list then you will miss out, so make sure you add everyone early in the week so all have time to accept the friend requests!

* If there is some sort of a mistake on the evening and you are invited to the wrong final by accident, relax it is only a game. Accept it, try your best and we will sort out your points following the round.

NOTES:
* Final instructions will be posted on MotoOnline.com.au in this thread before 6.00pm NSW time on the day of the race, confirming the final entry list, confirming the running of the event, listing your heat race allocation and nominated host for that particular event.

* A race report will be added directly after the round including details for when the following round will be held and at what track it will be staged at.

Good luck to all and thanks for supporting the series and MotoOnline.com.au!

Any practice lap times yet guys?

Just curious what pace will be required for Sunday night.....

It seems similar to Boxcar but with a bit more flow to it. Like Boxcar, small mistakes are costly....

The track seems to break up a lot so 20 laps around this track will be brutal !!!

Best lap 1.15.41

Avg lap about 1.20 - 1.22 or even 1.24 or 1.25 when the track gets rutted and rough.

I'm very inconsistent and still crash a lot...something I'm working on...

RD10 FINAL INSTRUCTIONS

Please carefully read the round information at the top of this thread for all details about the round and series.

Remember, if your nominated host isn’t on your friends list on the PS Network then we won’t be able to invite you to the final (however, we will add you all for this event as well).

Also remember that after your heat, you need to quit the game and go back to the Multiplayer menu screen to wait to be invited back into the main event that you make it into by our selected host.

Here are the seeded rider lists for tonight’s heat races:

Heat 1 (hosted by Doova930):
1. Dan297 (uberfragger)
2. Doova930
3. mxkid24
4. troythreesix
5. grimdog39
6. YU___128
7. elroy71

Heat 2 (hosted by AG23):
1. Aaryn234
2. AG23
3. mbninesix3 (mb___963)
4. ashfmx (ash-fmx)
5. caosweaver
6. Booth88 (MrWhite088)
7. mcfan4life (Nelso_19)

The top 4 finishers from each heat will go through to the A-Main.

Riders who finish in positions 5 and lower from each heat will be in the B-Main.

If there are less than 9 participants online at the scheduled starting time then we will all enter a heat race and then main event together.

The entrants to host the main events will be decided following the heats, so ensure that you are friends with all the entrants on the PS Network.

Late entries will be accepted until 6.00pm this afternoon NSW time, so sign up and get in on the action. Revised heat formats will be posted if we do get extra entries.

Good luck!!!

Also, I haven't updated the results yet because I missed them when they flashed up on the screen! Anybody know the full list so I can update it? The Nationals will be run on schedule considering its a week day.

OFFICIAL NELSON RACING (Nelso_19) PRESS RELEASE:

After a couple of good pre-race practice sessions during the week I was primed for a better showing than my debut race at Boxcar where I finished a disappointing last place...

The Switchyard track definately suited my riding style and I was able to adapt to the conditions much better than in Boxcar.

After getting a decent start in the heat race (about 3rd or 4th I think) I put some neat, consistent laps in to slowly work my way to the front of the pack. Riding a steady mistake free race made all the diference as I grabbed the lead and held it to the end to win my maiden motoonline SX race.

I was feeling super-confident heading into the main and made no changes to my ride. Hoping for a great start to avoid the usual 1st corner debacle, I was bummed to be heading into the 1st corner in midpack. This resulted in a savage mid-air T-Bone that sent me tumbling through the tough blocks.

After remounting in near last place I remained calm knowing it was a long race. I knew if I remained calm and rode consistent laps I could work my way to the front again, however, the backmarkers proved very difficult to pass at times and some very questionable block passes were made which sent me to the ground to sample the soil on more than a few occasions.

By mid race I had worked my into 4th, though I was some 30secs down on the leaders by then. For the second half of the race I was able to make it into 3rd but I tightened up and couldn't close on the leaders.

I was disappointed not to be battling at the front of the pack but full credit to Uber and Doova - they rode better on the night. It was a bittersweet feeling to make my first motoonline podium. I felt I could have done better but had to be happy with my result considering the carnage in the first 10 laps.

My sponsors Shift, Bell, Alpinestars, Oakley, Kenda, Pro Circuit, Factory Connection, Pro Taper and Shima Motorcycles all through me a hell of an end-of-SX-season party to end my shortened rookie SX season.

Thanks guys - see ya all outdoors....

Hey Alex, there are plenty of guys on the VitalMX forums always looking for online races.

Do you mind if I mention this comp on their forum to see if we can get more riders for the outdoors?

I'm not sure how many we would get because of the time difference (8pm here is about 2am there???).

If you think it's not a good idea then I will respect your decision and not mention it - no problem. Just let me know.

Cheers, Col.

Hey Col,

Haha, nice report mate! You went unreal on the weekend, nice work. You might be a contender for the outdoors!

That's cool with me if you mention our series, the more the better! I have a fair few saying they're keen for the outdoors too!

Al any week night is fine with me. As mentioned my roster will work in with some nights and some it won't. That's just the way it goes.

Any hints on what track is up first? I rode the new DLC outdoor track the other day and it sucked!!! I can't remember the name of it but I will be sure to get my ass kicked there...

Hey Dan how are the sponsors coming along gor the outdoors??? Any offers???
