general addmission didnt allow access to the aussie paddock this year, whats with that Al. Very pissed off. So I along with anyone else that paid to go wouldnt know how the teams were presented cause we were restricted from seeing em. F*@kin Bulls#+t..
I dunno Flexx, that's up to Phillip Island, which run the event. So who do you guys think is the best presented? They all look pretty good huh? Man we have some solid teams in ASBK 2010 - it's awesome.
Hmmmm, Its hard to say Ali G, but I think TBR Aprilia (The Natural) uniforms were wild.
The tent show at the WSB and Moto GP events detracts from how the teams "set up" looks in a proper pit.
So its going to be the stand alone events that will show us who looks the best overall.
Certainly Ducati looked pro at the island as did KTM (the two front runners in my opinion).
Suzuki and Champion Ride Days Honda looked great as well, where as teams like Aark Triumph and Gas Honda were a slight disappointment as I thought they had a "thrown together" back yard feel and looked quite amateur considering they are "Factory" supported outfits.
The Valvoline and Cougar teams put in a great effort considering the time they had to get it together well done to Glenn and Brian.
But back to Aprilia, well done to them for lifting the standards on the uniform front, really Europeon and very classy.
This is an area the teams should spend a bit more time on, because they really stood out and it didn't matter where they were in the field from a sponsors perspective, because they looked so good.
Hey what do they say about first impressions???
If you lined the teams up before they raced last weekend, and you were asked who the top team was, you could have easily said something like this;
TBR The Natural Aprilia
Motologic Ducati
ESG KTM
Suzuki
Yamaha
Champion Ride Days Honda
Cougar Honda Racing
ESG Valvoline
Racers Edge
Aluma-lite Ducati
Gas Honda and
the rest of the privateers
The Motologic ducati team look very well setup. Also Ktm looked trick! TBR Aprillia did look good, but were no where in the results so what does it matter? better luck next time hey.
gas honda team was pretty good, should be alot further up the list than penrepine reckons.. spending a lot more cash on the bikes than the pits by the looks of things, but the results were there...
Suzuki and yamaha were much the same as the last few years. neat and tidy as always and looking good.
Good to see so many teams making a big effort inside there crappy little tents, i'm looking forward to checking out the pit setups come darwin.
BONE man was lucky enough to steal him self a ticket into the pits at WSBK, geeez louiiise!!
Roumor has it that Jordy had pinkeye when he got the photo taken for the pit walling and the look on stauffer's face in his photo looks like he just poo'd in his pants!! hahaha!!! other than that those guys looked the shit! (no pun intended hahahagag!!)
Big ups to the KTM team for there presentation also. suzuki boys always are a pro looking act. should be interesting for all those peeps making the trek to Darwin, sounds like it will be a massive event too... bum chicka waap waaaawww
bone.
PS just an update, had a bit of spare time over the last few days n got my centrelink cheque yesty so me and my boy KARL got the whipper snipper motorand bolted it to a one of the wheels on a woolies trolley we found in the stormwater drain... talk about a driftinnnn machine!! that thing is outa control!!
Better revisit this after we see Darwin I think.
We should get a real look at what the teams can do to promote themselves in a proper pit lane.
I wonder what the conditions are like in Darwin, Are the sheds in good nic?
It couldn't be as bad as SA.
Darwin's sheds are good, better than the airport!! They are like PI or Tassie. Keep your eye on the Champions Ride Day Team for this..........very very cool indeed......
Alas, during my brief stroll through the pits on Friday morning I wasn't in a particularly observant mood. Nor even when they were stopped right beside me at pit exit. And when the green light went on & the green flag was waved, many seemed to think the 60km/h limit was optional for the last 20m of pit lane.
One thing may have happened that I wasn't sure about. Was bryan Staring's bike in plain white bodywork on the 1st 2 days? If so, was it because the late deal meant the pretty Cougar bodywork only arrived on Saturday afternoon, or because they only had one set completed and wanted to make sure it was intact for race day?
like boneman i too was lucky enough to be in the wsbk pits for the weekend.they sure are works of art the world s/bikes,lots of$$$$$$$$$ spent..i gues best presented does not mean much if your not at the front of the pack.money spent on the machine will always outweigh looking good.so with that said, GO GAS HONDA.
