Great to see Cougar and Valvoline joining the ranks. Anytime there is new sponsorship, its a good sign. Times are pretty well spread in first session, but the weekend is only young.

You can see an image of Staring here mate... http://www.motoonline.com.au/2010/02/26/oz-mxasbk-cougar-bourbon-joins-fts-honda-racing-team/

We'll have video from the pits tomorrow all going well - I don't expect our image gallery to be up in full until Monday, but we'll have plenty of news stories over the weekend with shots in them.

I hear it is electrical gremlins with the ECU that is affecting the Aprilia's debut apparently...

Wow what a great weekend of racing. Just thought i would make a few points about the weekend

1. It amazed me how many people stayed around on Sunday to watch the final ASBK race. Now if they are that interested in bike racing maybe they can turn up to a ASBK round.

2. AAron Morris- The kid is going to be a freak, just as long as he calms down on track a bit

3.Bryan Staring- Rode like a champ. No real time on the bike and was right on it. Will be a real title threat.

4.Aaron Gobert. What was the go there Alex, we all know hes a better rider than where he was racing at on the weekend.

And lastly got to get this off my chest. On friday was walking around support paddock. I have a friend that has a Bayliss 1098R. We heard Aluma-Lite had two as race bikes so as we walked past saw the first bike was one, identfied by id plate on triple clamp, so not wanting to be rude asked Ben Attard if we may look quickly at the other bike. The attitude he displayed was appaling. I have attended plenty of bike events a met riders of many different nationalities and never had an issue, but thus guy spoke to us like we were shit and he he was the king. Now later that day we see Bayliss himself who we approached a asked if he wouold sign the 1098R,to which he said he would love to, even spoke to us for 10 mins(even has a Bayliss Build No21). Thats how you become a champ. Maybe he needs to look how guys like Staring and Allerton handle themselves around racing fans.

BTW- if anyone here knows him tell him that chromed aviators are only cool when ya drunk or ya fly a fighter jet.

Hey Hutchy,

It was a good weekend, really busy for me though lol.

You're right about Morris and Staring, really solid rides while Maxwell and Herfoss lived up to expectations. You can't deny that Ductai, KTM and Triumph all made stellar debuts in the series either, great stuff!

Az has been having a bit of trouble getting comfortable on the R6 in his few rides on it, but I don't think anybody doubts that he can ride the bike up to the task. All things considered, to be ninth overall heading out of round one is better than sitting at home on the couch and waiting for Hidden Valley, which was originally the plan.

That's no good you had a bad experience with Attard mate, I wasn't there so can't really comment I guess! Nobody as good as Bayliss will ever be as down to earth as him though, awesome guy isn't he??

BONE had no idea who was going to win in any of the races, it was too tough to call so the bone man sits out of this round!!

i was a bit pissed off that i didnt see any burnouts or anything like that. i love that shit. schmoookin tyres!! that 3 wheel mobile that KTM had sittin out the back of there truck was siiick fun. the BONE stole it off there personal trainer and did some freestyle off it oooo yeah!!! kick ass.

The BONE also did some snoopin around last night post-race at the afterparty... let me tell u one thing. the ratio at these parties is well outa whack people! girls u neeed to get on dddoooowwwwwnnnnnnn. bring yo panties (or not ) and party with the booooyyyyyzzzzzzz
