Posted: 09 Feb 2010 | Posted By: Alex Gobert | Section: Breaking News | Comments: 0 |

Team Yoshimura has confirmed that it will compete in three World Superbike Championship rounds as a wild card entry this year.

The Japanese aftermarket parts manufacturer will race a Yoshimura-kitted Suzuki GSX-R1000 at the fourth round at Assen, Netherlands on 25 April, the 12th round at Imola, Italy on 26 September, plus the final round at Magny Cours, France on 3 October.

Suzuki’s long-serving World Superbike rider Yukio Kagayama, who this season will race in the British Superbike Championship, has been lined up for Assen and Magny-Cours whilst Yoshimura’s own team regular Daisaku Sakai will compete in Imola.

The team’s Yoshimura Suzuki will also be entered at the Suzuka 8 Hour World Endurance race in Japan on 25 July where Kagayama and Sakai will be joined by Suzuki MotoGP test and development rider Nobuatsu Aoki, plus the Suzuka 300km race on 13 June.
