for only a couple of weeks prep, the Staring machine looked awesome!!

He was at the track day next day looking like he had plenty of the sponsors product the night before

FTS likes a bourbon sponsor!!!!!

I dont know that he was underated, more that nobody was sure of his team structure leading up to the round since they only put it together a few weeks before. Was an awesome performance from all involved!

I think it’s awsome that Staring is in SBK, It just go’s to show that he wants to race the best riders, it also go’s to show that bike racers will bitch and moan if they think they are missing out on something.

Life is not fair get used to it.

Only time will tell all of these answers I’m thinking… you hear this, that and the rest, but the BS stops when we arrive at the tracks and look at the grids. Hopefully all series have decent turn outs this year.

It’s a kick in the pants for guys like Allerton that the promoter will at the last minute find a bike for Staring.
I wish Staring all the best and hope he has a great season.
with Staring how many superbikes is that on the grid 10? and 10-12 superstock A/B still not much of a field! The Superbikes will Bring a big field but it allways does cause people just won’t to be part of the SBK show which you can’t blame them. How many do you think will show for tassie?

I’m going to be honest last year there was not a huge amount of depth in supersport. I mean SJ turned up on a Honda and was right up the front straight away, and jamies head was elsewhere(his son max). Herfoss was finding his feet. Having said that he is the oz ss champ. He is obviously doing what he thinks is the right thing but loyalty is a big thing in life and as much as yamaha have said they are ok with it I bet you he never rides a yamaha in oz again.

It’s also shows how desperate yarrive is to piss yamaha off.

Any news on the tv rights ?

Bryan and I actually started that interview three times before being interrupted each time, finally getting it completed on the fourth try while he was at the airport late yesterday afternoon – he has been a busy guy! To be fair, the first time he started to answer the first question he did thank Yarrive Konsky for putting something together for him at the last minute, but that answer got cut off part way so we started fresh again at a later time.

I doubt it was intentional by Bryan to not mention Yarrive’s name in try number four of the interview, basically because Full Throttle Sports is Yarrive’s company so that’s basically saying Yarrive anyway I guess. The thing is, you can’t really blame Bryan for this – he’s been offered a Honda Superbike, finally getting the chance to re-enter the class and he’s going for it. Good on him.

JED, what I meant by not factory, but still support is that it’s not a factory team fielded by Honda Australia, however my understanding is that Bryan will have support from Honda of some form like Maxwell and the other guys.

HUTCHY, I think Garry House is building Bryan’s bike.

So how do you guys think he’ll go? He was certainly strong on the R6 last year!

Agree there Hutchy. How dumb does he think the we all are, of course he is the Promoter and also the Owner/Director of the ‘new team’………..Conflict of interest maybe?????

Only thing i didnt like in the interview is he never mentions the deal was done by Yarrive, i mean cmon u cant tell me three weeks before the first race Full Throttle Sports decides to do ASBK. They had no choice losing three Aust champions to FX

Flexx, yeah Bryan is getting Honda support – not factory but still support. So what did we think of his Moto Talk interview from today??? I think his decision is fair enough if that’s the way he wants to direct his career, he basically sounds rapt to get an opportunity on the Superbike really.

I don't quite know what you mean by this is the mouthpiece for ASBK? Not sure if you mean my site or something else…

As I've said many times, it doesn't really make a difference to me what series competitors choose to race in, but from a fan's point of view it's always best to see big fields and the best against the best. Right now it's unlikely to happen since there are two national level series, but that's not likely to change anytime soon unless one collapses.

Personally, I'll be at all the ASBK rounds as per my AMCN agreement, however I will be at the FX rounds that are close to home as well.

I'm more than happy to cover FX as long as information is sent to us, or relayed to us even.
