The 2009 Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, wrapped up at Brisbane’s QSAC Stadium in Queensland on Saturday night, with a crowd of almost 25,000 spectators witnessing the action on what was Australia’s largest ever Supercross track. The Open class saw defending champion Chad Reed win his second Super X title in succession, winning the wet night ahead of American Honda import Davi Millsaps and CDR Rockstar Yamaha’s Jay Marmont. The Lites series belonged to Rockstar Motul Suzuki’s Matt Moss, but since he rode the 450 in the final two rounds then it was American Kyle Cunningham who took the round victory for Serco Yamaha ahead of Lawson Bopping and Brendan Harrison.
