Ive made up my mind to finaly buy euro after years of jap bikes. my budget is $22k and it comes down to to bikes. I can go new with the KTM and have been offered a good trade deal with my current gixer. Ive never had a twin so its apealing and I think it looks horn. The MV is a second hand 07 model and is italian (need i say more). Any one got any thoughts. Alex your likely to have ridden both these bike what are your thoughts for fast road riding and to live with.. Respect

Toughy that one flexx doggy dawg.
i'd say the rc8 would be good but then again the italian stalian would be nice too.. although i think the seating position on the KTM V twizzle would be more comfortable and the power would be more street friendly.
what about the BMW? they are a good piece of gear and i think come resale time they would be good for it too.

Nice one Flexx! For starters, a new bike is always nice to have. I guess the thing that comes down to it is that both are very different animals. The KTM is a smooth twin with the most relaxed riding position of all sportsbikes cos of its high handlebars and cruisy position. Everything about it is easy. On the other hand, the MV is agressive in many was from the seating position to the four-cylinder engine character. It's unforgiving in many ways, but rewards you when you ride it hard - plus it's quick on track. If I was going to ride more on the road then I'd get the KTM, or if I was going to ride on the track solely I'd get the MV. If I was going to do both then I'd get and RC8 R if it was out of these two brands!
