Parkes on Kawasaki WSS?

Posted: 29 Oct 2009 | By: BONE | Section: Road Chat | Replies: 8

i wonder if Parksy has a ride in WSS for a factory kawasaki team?

i think he'l' do better on the 600s.

Parksy is a sick rider when he stays upright!!

p.s. when are they releasing the ASBK calendar for 2010??!!

Not sure if he is on it next year or not, but I do know that Kawasaki said they wanted to keep him somewhere. Was interesting to see Lascorz riding both the 600 and the Superbike at the test.

I am under the impression that Broc may have a chance to ride the 600 in 2010, along side Lascorse, but at the moment every team is trying to confirm sponsorship money prior to comminting to a rider.

First the teams will confirm sponsorship, then riders will be placed in superbike teams, and if money permits they will run a Supersport team.

This is why we havent heard much of any WSS riders being signed yet.

Rumors

Riders looking for a ride

Pitt
Aitchison
Laverty
Foret
West

They all have been offered rides, but i dont think its the calibre of ride there looking for, and are waiting on manufactures.

Yamaha WSS have all but shut down, very big dissapointment, especially after many years challenging Ten Kate for the title, the eventually get it and cant continue in 2010 due to financial straints..

But roumor has it that they may have small budget to run 1 rider out of the WSBK team with limited staff next year, hence the test on tuesday with Gino Rea, who this year won the ST6 in the WSBK

Thanks for the scoop mate, let's hope WSS survives okay out of all this. In saying that, there must be a few of the big teams (Ten Kate, Alstare, Ducati) pulling back on their Superstock 1000 and 600 commitments? Would love to see a couple of Aussies in Moto2.

yeah good scoop caprice,

i agree it would be awesome to see some fresh aussie blood in moto 2. i even reckon the first 3 aussies in australian SSP at the moment (staring, stauffer and Johnson) would probably go ok on them too.

they are hot...on the track.

p.s. anyone heard anything about next years calendar yet for ASBK or who's riding what??

It seems some rides are drying up and others may be being formed is this correct? (i.e jap factories bar suzuki out of ASBK, more euro bikes in??)

Great Al...
In my opinion, the calendar for next season should of been known a while ago so that the teams and riders, heck even spectators know whats going on. in saying that, i have faith the big K train (konsky) must have something he's working on and firming up which will be a little famous, hence the delay in releasing the calendar possibly???

is the release of calendars delayed like this in SX/MX?

Here's MA's 2010 calendar: http://www.ma.org.au/Content/MA/NewsEvents/2010NationalCalendar/2010calendar.htm

Some events are finalised, others aren't. I guess the hard thing with road racing is getting on the tracks, but I haven't heard much at all about 2010 ASBK yet apart from the V8 option.

yeah.. i'm sure we will here something soon! i am presuming again there will be about the same amount of rounds though..

yeah getting on the tracks is getting harder and harder. politics in RR are bullshit! ruins road racing. thats why i just stick to sinking piss and burning up disco floors around the country these days. footloose and fancy free!!
