Monster Energy Drink

FIVEONE

After a breif look at supermarket and local general store shelves the Australian Monster (or munster) as it was reffered to has left without a trace.

Ive herd on the rumour mill that the full on Monster Energy drink will be available in Australia as early as 1st July

I don't drink them either, but I do like the branding of them. The Red Bull, Monster, or Rockstar brands are cool I reckon. Ithought of taking a picture of the car with the sticker but got over it! It will be here soon enough I guess haha.

Cadbury Schweppes used to have Red Bull as there Energy drink but Red bull decided to go there own way about a year ago as they didnt think they were getting the best value out the the confectionary/drink distributor.

C-S must have taken Monster on board which is probably a good move for both companies. I beleive monstor actually outsells Coke in the USA. I could be wrong though.

So can I ask what everybody here prefers? How much does your favourite rider sipping a can contribute to your decision when buying an energy drink? Like, when Stewart was a Monster rider did you prefer Monster than Red Bull, and now he's switched, have you switched? I think I'll always like the branding of Red Bull over the rest, but I do like that they are all so active in motorcycle racing - whether it's MotoGP or Supercross.

HIGH ROLLER ENERGY of course hahaha but seriously, I love the taste of High Roller, its just hard to get for some people but they are slowly getting out there, helps that they are an Australian owned company aswel. It is a thing that I will always support companys that support the industry and extreme sports, if I have no High Roller I wouldn't hesitate to buy Red Bull or Rockstar and I have never tasted Monster but have heard good things about it.

It freaks me out with how much money Monster pour into sponsorship in the states, they seem to sponsor anyone and everything at the very top level, I know theres big margins in the drinks but I still dont get how they can afford so many top athletes and teams, Red Bulls a massive company and I'd say that Monster sponsor 5-10 times as many guys as Red Bull, its good but amazing really

I drink MOTHER its good now but when they first came out about 2 years ago or whenever it was it was disgusting!, I remember i was talking to a mate who pulled up beside me in his car and i opened the can and toke a big swig and straight away spat it out and threw the can out the window!, He laughed his arse off.

Ive noticed some new brands pop up now and then. I seen a black Hilux(?) the other day with chrome wheels all coverd in stickers of another new ''energy drink''

Monster sponsors Jenson Button in F1 now with a massive M claw on the top of his helmet. I wonder if that annoys Red Bull since they run two F1 teams and Monster comes in and buys helmet space on the world championship leader mid-season haha. They also sponsor Rossi and heaps of World and British Superbike riders in Europe.

Hey Alex ,
I noticed the same thing last night watching the qualifying at a mates house. I believe this will stir the pot among the F1 guys considering how much Red Bull pump into that sport

What would you know about Jamie Whincup??? Haha jokes! That's awesome. I'm a big fan of Whincup and TeamVodafone. Great to see Monster in Aussie motorsport, including being the title sponsor of Super X, so will be good to see what bike riders they jump on board with. I hear Marmont has them because they want the #1 plate in motocross. Don't know about any Superbike teams though!

Yes Mr Gobert , you are correct in saying that they want the number one plate....... i would scan all sporting events to see who has the number one plate, and then watch that space for next year????

Redbull all the way!

we just need to get their marketing department here in australia to get behind more two wheeled peeps!

brands likese mainstream ones can go a long way in raising a sports profile and it would take much for them (dollar wise) to get behind some of the two wheel jockeys.

speaking of V8s im becoming a fan of the v8 racing now since they have started doing things with the moto boys. the more they can work together the better it will be for everyone i reckon.

I wish Red Bull sponsored an Aussie rider, only one I know of domestically is Craig Anderson in moto. Rockstar hasn't done too much in supporting road racing so far either, so hopefully Monster supports a road race team or rider at least.
