I have heard that Brendan Roberts has lost his ride ongoing with Guandalini's. Can anyone confirm this?

It was suggested Brendan would be replaced by Gregorio Lavilla and that Ducati may place him at another team as he is highly regarded by Ducati. But you have to wonder what this will do to his career path. I am not so sure the replacement ride would be in WSBK.

The major physically concern for Brendan is a torn/punctured left quad muscle which is obviously debilitating at this time.

What next for Brenny?

Well we had a story in April (Racing Insider #78) that said he's in danger of losing his ride, and then mentioned it again on Friday in RI #100. It's very hard to say where he may end up - seems rides are vanishing left right and centre! BSB maybe? Who knows. Smrz has been going good with Guandalini so the team must be okay, it's just a cut throat world these days and no time for learning even if you are a rookie it seems.

Agreed BSB would be a strong possibility in 10' particularly if Ducati make a return.

I gotta say I expected a little more from Brendan early in the season, but this injury has really damaged his chances.

However he did suffer a severe wrist injury a few years back and returned from that.

I hope Ducati keep the faith and he does not become another member of the Euro Superstock 1000 scrap heap.
