Although I joined before Mrs B ( ha ha I win ) she did point me in the direction of this site so thanks should go to her.
Looking forward to seeing it grow and hopefully some of the 'softies' from the other forum will come on board.

Hey well it seems we have more motocross supporters here than road racing right now (that actually post in the forum anyway!) so that gives me a good reason to continue doing more dirt stories etc haha. So speak up road racers or you'll miss out!!

I must say I am only new to road racing - i am yet to get to an event. I will eventually - so far just a tv watcher and AMCN reader (I don't read the articles, just look at the pictures). Some friends from work came with me to buy Stroke today - they call it motor bike porn - I am happy with that!

I don't think that the lack of chat on your site has anything to do with the quality of the site.
The simple fact is that there is no news on the ASBK out there to discuss.
Sure I like the overseas stuff, but I want a series here that we can get behind and enjoy like the poms do with the BSB.
The BSB web site is just a flurry of info and there is always something new everytime you click on.
Australia have very little to crow about which is an MA issue and Konsky does stuff all on his site to promote topical discussion, so we stay quiet.......simply isn't it?

Yep, is a very quiet time in the sport right now, and like you said in the Ducati thread, there isn't much news regarding the teams going around at the moment. The reasons are: a) Teams don't know themselves; and b) whatever they do know they are keeping very close. All as I keep getting told is that "we are looking for sponsorship".
Even still, we have a six hour on at Oran Park this weekend and the message boards on any site aren't exactly lighting up with predictions etc! I find the dirt stuff that we cover on here domestically gets so many more visitors, which is a shame for domestic road racing in general.
For me, motocross/supercross is the total opposite right now to road racing and is enjoyable to report on, as is the testing side of being a writer. In fact, I have an Aprilia RSV4; Ducati 1198 S and Honda CBR1000RR waiting for me at the Creek for Sunday woooo hooo haha. I'm not one to complain from where I stand.

Don't forget to continue spreading the word as the more members and people we have visiting the site then the more time I can justify putting into it as it becomes more of a business! I'm looking at adding a couple of part time people shortly too.
